The Journey of Transformation in Motherhood, Life, and Business.

The transition into motherhood has been the most profound and transformational journey that I have had the privilege to experience.  It has grounded me in a way that I feel more centered and connected to my heart. I have had to let go of things, titles, and addictions (aka my productivity addiction) and leaned more into the practice of slowness, receiving, and believing. With this transition, I am stepping into a new era and rooting my feet into values that represent my truth as a new mother and business owner.

I have always dreamed of becoming a mother since I was a little girl. For every birthday or Christmas, all I wished for were baby dolls. To be able to have my very own doll to care for and play with was the ultimate dream. The obsession was so real that I even got the baby that somehow ate and went to the bathroom. Looking back, I wonder how that was even possible but my point is, that I was drawn to motherhood from a very young age.

Here I am today, thirty years later, living the dream of being a mother to a baby boy. It’s been the most beautiful, hard, and growing experience. As mentioned, I’ve had to shed layers of myself that have come with this transition. The main one has been the attachment to myself. I know that may seem egotistical because it is. Before having a child, my day was created by me for me. Now, as much as I can plan my day and week, he is my main priority and thought. There is an unconditional love that drives me and my effort. It’s a new place for me to consciously come from each and every day.

Now, I want to make it clear that I am not giving up on myself and who I am for my son. Rather, I have found this transition as an evolution of who I am as a human. It’s given me the opportunity to reflect and redefine my values to get clear on matters in life. It’s opened my eyes and heart to a new way of being while honoring my past and having gratitude for where I am today.

Being a mother is being able to hold deeper emotion and process it with grace. It’s a growing heart with a greater capacity to love. It’s the courage to believe in goodness and receive support even when it is uncomfortable. It’s the patience of growing a child and birthing them into the world. It’s the innate feeling to protect yourself and your family. It’s having faith beyond the mind. It’s surrender and belief.

While reading this, you may relate to what I am describing because you don’t have to be a mother of a child to understand. For me, it is my path. However, many of us experience this growth by connecting to our inner mother archetype. This archetype in Carl Jung psychology, is associated with qualities such as nurturing, love, compassion, and protection. “Jung saw the mother archetype as an important aspect of the individuation process, which is the journey towards self- realization and wholeness. The mother archetype can represent the individual's own inner nurturing and caring qualities, as well as the influence of their mother or other maternal figures in their life.”

You do not need to have birthed a child to connect with your inner mother. You are welcome to connect to your mother archetype through your own self discovery and internal care.

For me, the act of birthing a child has mirrored in many ways the birth of my business and the growth in life. I am not comparing them apples to apples, however, it has brought more intention and care to all areas of life that I care deeply about.

That said, as I am excited to share that I have entered a new era of motherhood and I see the world differently. Becoming a mother has evolved my values, which is the foundation of my life. My updated values in 3 pillars are:

  • Faith — connection, light,  & energy

  • Love — Family & relationships

  • Harmony — health, balance, & sustainability

These are what my feet are rooted in and where I want to come from as a human being.

To reflect this personal growth, I am excited to share my new website. This was an intuitive evolution and a natural creative process. Just like motherhood, I listened to my intuition, asked for support, and co-created a beautiful online space to be a reflection of my life and work.

One of the main values that was brought into this creation was the value of sustainability. I am in it for the long haul and my website is here to represent this. I hope you can feel the love, intention, and devotion behind each detail.

I am celebrating this growth with all of you and invite you to explore your own foundational values, so you too can feel rooted in who you are as a human being.

I will be hosting a community breathwork workshop on December 12th at 8pm ET to uncover your values that will come from your heart and soul. If you missed the live session you can watch the replay here.

Thank you for being on this journey with me. I am grateful for you. I love you.

With love and light,

Betta
